moss carpet

La Chanh Nguyen's moss carpet. Not your typical bathmat. The moss mat is sustained by the humidity of the bathroom and moisture that drips off you as you step out of the shower. At my house it would be over watered though by the splashing waves from my little girls during their bath time.

I bet it feels heavenly under your toes though. Just look at all that soft texture.

new in shop

what a fine weekend. I listed 2 new mossy mounds in vintage milk glass:

Also, I ended up on etsy's front page twice in these two fantastic treasuries.
When I get a link to a treasury I've been added to, sometimes I can just tell the creative ones with a design eye that will make the front page. Like this one by urbanrevisions. I love the geometric shapes with the soft pops of color:

and this one by dawncorrespondence. im liking the subtle wood tones:

If only i had that talent! How was your weekend? I took advantage of my husband being home early to watch my little girls as I ran to my favorite supply greenhouses, only to find them closed due to a light dusting of snow. Ugh. I guess its my crazy buffalo blizzard shell I've had since birth that had me chuckling at the sight of the closed gates.

moss comfort garden

If you like moss, think you'll like the new designs I have been working on. Moss comfort garden. Each are designed with preserved moss and faux moss cobbles nestled into a vintage leaf shaped wooden bowl. Remember the post of my vintage wooden bowl collection? This is what I've made with them! They are now available here in the shop.

moss walls

Something about this heat wave in the North East has made be sluggish and running to the pool everyday with my little girls to cool off . It's also my excuse for the lack of a posts this week. It's just too hot around these parts! Here is some calming moss eye candy I fully enjoyed:
The veins of dried moss are designed by Asami Kiyokawa a famous Japanese artist for Oki Sato of Nendo. The moss texture forms a 3 dimensional wallpaper look while incorporating the mossy textures from their outdoor environment to the indoor without the little critters, mold and browning. The dried moss pattern is meticulously done and neither fully natural nor artificial... a lot like the preserved moss designs I create in my shop!
